Dennis Gabriel Sr.
Dennis Angelito Reagan Gabriel Sr., 76, of Hilo died May 14, 2017, at his residence. Born in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he was a retired Master Sgt. with the U.S. Air Force and Hawaii Air National Guard and an electronic technician for World Wide Flight Services, member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Fil-Am Golf Club and Tsunami Golf Club.
Friends may call 9–10:30 a.m. May 25 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo for a 10:30 a.m. Mass. Burial will follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire.
He is survived by wife, Nancy Gabriel of Hilo; daughters, Gigi (Ala Wailani) Gabriel, Malia (Henri Wilbur) Gabriel, all of Hilo; sons, Dennis (Chassie) Gabriel Jr., Kekoa Gabriel, all of Hilo; sisters, Rosaline Domaloan of Honolulu, Carmel (Kent) Lowry of California; brothers, Roger (Donna) Gabriel of Honolulu, Roland (Cyndy) Gabriel of Washington; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Richard Campogan
Richard “Rickie” Estencion Campogan, 73, of Captain Cook died April 27, 2017, at Nakamaru Hale in Holualoa. Born Nov. 23, 1943, in Keei, he was a retired laborer and member of Laborers International Union Local No. 368.
Visitation is at 9 a.m. May 27 at Pukaana Congregational Church in South Kona with a 10 a.m. service.
He is survived by son, Nathan (Ashley Kaiawe) Campogan of Captain Cook; brothers, Demetrio Campogan of Honolulu, Frank (Lita) Campogan of Captain Cook; sisters, Connie Perez of Whittier, California, Gloria (Jim) Phillips of Harbor City, Calif.; two grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephew.
Gayland Baker
Gayland E. Baker, 67, of Waimea died May 12, 2017, in Waimea. Born Dec. 18, 1949, in Riverside, Calif., he was co-owner of a bed and breakfast.
He is survived by son, Christian Baker of Waimea; brothers, Glen (Sandy) Baker of Grand Island, Neb.; Sean Baker of Waimea, Gene Baker of Grand Island, Neb.

Ronald “Ron” Allen Embree, 67, of Keaau died May 11, 2017, at Hospice of Hilo’s Pohai Malama Facility. Born Jan. 24, 1950, in Seattle, he was retired laborer for the Local Union 442.

He is survived by wife, Nani Embree; daughter, Rebecca Embree; sons, Benjamin Embree and Noah Embree; hanai son, Gabe Lubbess; one sister; two brothers.
